What a powerful statement. Thank you so much Charlie – what beautiful insight!
In some Native American traditions, Rabbit is called the fear-caller. It’s said that rabbit runs out of it’s burrow and yells, “Eagle, please don’t eat me!” If fortune is with rabbit, then rabbit ventures out further and says even louder, “Hawk, please don’t eat me! Please don’t!!!” and this behavior continues until eventually, something snatches rabbit. In this way, by focusing, worrying, and taking action on her fears, rabbit made them happen.
This corresponds well with the Law of Attraction that tells us if we focus on our fears, our lack, the negative things in their life, we create a stronger bond between it and ourselves. And that’s certainly not what we want to do. What we want to do is savor those feel-good feelings and attract more of those to us.
In psychology, they teach that the physical response to excitement is the same as fear. Our heart rates increase, we might get sweaty palms or shake-y hands. This is one way to reframe our fears. We can say, ‘No, I’m not afraid, I’m EXCITED!’
When we fear things, it’s because we’re taking a risk. What if it doesn’t work? What if we fail? What if we fall? What if we have to admit things to ourselves? But, on the other hand, what if it works? What if your life is forever changed? What if you have to leave your comfort zone? What will you lose if it doesn’t work?
What will you lose if you don’t try?
I asked the other day “Can I step fully into myself?” and someone replied “Can you NOT?” I had my palms read today and they were all about fear. Fear that I’m not good enough.
So come with me as I fight my fear. I’m learning new medicines and I’m calling Tiger to me to help me realize my own power and my own strength. I will step fully into myself, and I would love to help you do so, too. Step forward with me and let’s fight this fear instead of calling it to us.
Thank you, Charlie.
