I spoke yesterday of writing this post today and have found myself putting it off and putting it off. I thought it would be easy just to write a big old post about all the things that I’m thankful for and have gratitude towards but it’s actually surprisingly difficult. There is SO MUCH GOOD in the world! There are SO MANY things that I’m grateful for and I will tell you right now that my command of the English language (being a native speaker) is not good enough to properly express my gratitude. I’m going to give it a shot anyways. So, in no particular order:
- I am grateful for my family. My fiance, father, brothers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. I have learned SO MUCH from you and continue to do so. Even when I couldn’t recognize it, I know that I have always been loved and loved in return. For all of those who have passed, I still learn from you, every day. Through my memories of you, through stories of you, and I trust you are doing well in whatever incarnation you possess.
- I am grateful for my cats. They are amazing and wonderful and do so much more for me than I could ever do for them. I am SO grateful that they came into my life because I can’t imagine it without them.
- I am grateful for my friends. They are more like extended family than ‘merely’ friends. But they have been there for me in ways that I never imagined and just sharing their experiences of life with them – being able to witness it – means so much to me.
- I am grateful for my teachers. Spiritual, physical, academic, and otherwise. Thank you for sharing your experiences, thank you for passing on your wisdom, and thank you for the gifts you give every day of your life.
- I am grateful for all the beautiful things in the world. Flowers, trees, animals, fractals, words, paintings, people, Fibonacci numbers, and light. Clouds, weather, traffic, sun, moon, and stars. Earth. There is so much to be grateful for and sometimes it feels like I’m going to burst with all the gratitude that I have.
- I am grateful for Universe. Our reality is so incredibly amazing and our experiences are absolutely invaluable. It literally blows my mind that all of this is in existence, even if we don’t fully understand the nature of this existence. That it is and that I may be part of it is absolutely incredible.
- I am grateful for my gratitude. It fills me up and makes me want for nothing. It is pure, beautiful magic.
- I am grateful for the akashic internet where I can type these words and share them with you.
I am, simply, awed and grateful by all the precious things we’ve been given. Thank you, thank you SO much. Yes, please, and more, thank you!
