The spiral is one of 5 geometric shapes that are seen all throughout ancient cultures and the symbolism of the spiral changes from culture to culture.
The spiral represents journeys of all types. This can represent journeys of the physical and the spiritual kind and can travel both inward and outward. Since it represents journeys it also represents evolution and growth. Use spirals whenever you’re hoping for spiritual or physical growth or evolution.
Spirals are very primal symbols and are found everywhere in nature. Anyone familiar with the Fibonacci sequences and numbers is familiar with how spirals appear in snail shells and pine cones. Spirals also appear in whirlpools, windswept trees, eddies, fractals, and sea shells. More impressively, spirals are also part of our DNA and the shape of our galaxy.
Take some time to bring the spiral into your life. Doodle it, draw it, carve it, hang it up where you can see it. Walk in a spiral to raise energy and center yourself. Meditate on it and contemplate on it and pay attention to where it appears in your life. Grow a relationship with the spiral and then see where it leads you.
I’d love to hear your experiences with the spiral! Feel free to share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below!
